It was with great satisfaction that Luka Modric accepted the prestigious AS Awards Lifetime Achievement Award early this morning (Vietnam time). After accepting the award, Modric thanked everyone and addressed the assembly with a moving statement.

“I truly appreciate AS bestowing this award onto me. It is indeed an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious media organization. I am really appreciative of the fans’ unwavering support, as well as that of my teammates and coaches,” Modric remarked.

In response to a query on the Champions League, Modric acknowledged that challenges could arise. “Winning the title back would be incredible. In contrast, RB Leipzig is doing well in its own league. But above all, we need to give La Liga and the Copa del Rey everything we’ve got,” Modric added.
