Warriors star speaks out about LeBron James’s potential trade for Jonathan Kuminga

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers responded to the claim by Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN that the Golden State Warriors were considering trade for him by saying the following to the NBA on TNT crew: It didn’t make much progress. In actuality, I learned about it at the same time as everyone else. It goes without saying that Shaq, Kenny, and Charles have all played in the league, and occasionally there are talks that take place behind closed doors that you are unaware of. Until, I suppose, they bring it to you, if it’s real or not. However, I never even heard about it until the news came out, so I was also aware of it. “When I talked to Joe [Lacob] on the phone, and we were discussing what we’d have to give up, I said if it’s Kuminga, the answer is no,” Warriors star Draymond Green stated in reference to his opposition to the idea of trading Jonathan Kuminga for James during an alternate broadcast of the All-Star Game.James to the Warriors is the subject of many speculative trade packages that have been proposed, but Green is not amenable to this trade proposal. Though Green and James were good friends, he opposed the idea of trading Kuminga for the Lakers star. Although it appears that the Warriors wouldn’t have made this deal in the first place, it’s always beneficial for a rookie player like Kuminga to have the support of seasoned veterans like Green. James is still with the Lakers as of right now.
