After dishing up his 6,000th career assist, Curry joined James, Russell Westbrook, Kobe Bryant, James Harden, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and John Havlicek as the only NBA players with at least 23,000 points and 6,000 assists.

With just their second loss in eight games, Los Angeles’ three-game winning streak was ended. However, this loss was very different from their previous encounter, on January 27, when the Lakers overcame a 15-point deficit to overcome the Warriors 145-144 in double overtime at Chase Center.
Golden State’s Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points while Jonathan Kuminga scored 12 points to tie a career-high 34 straight game in double digits. The Warriors won their ninth straight game in 11 after losing to the Lakers.
In that game, James recorded a triple-double with 20 rebounds, 36 points, and 12 assists.
James’ ailment was described by Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham as a “day-to-day thing.”
“We’ll figure it out when we wake up in the morning,” Ham remarked.
James suffers with inflammation of the tendons on the outside of his foot, or left ankle peroneal tendinopathy.
With 45 seconds left in the third quarter, Klay Thompson finally made a three-pointer from beyond the arc after missing his first six attempts and two threes. Despite finishing with just three points on 1-for-9 shooting, he did manage five assists and four rebounds.
Kerr anticipates that veteran guard Chris Paul, who underwent surgery to treat a fractured left hand, will make a comeback on the next trip.
