Chelsea ratings vs Leeds: Gallagher saves Disasi as Blues advance in FA Cup

Chelsea overcame a difficult start to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory over Leeds in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge. Conor Gallagher emerged as the hero, scoring the winning goal in the dying moments of the match. The result ensures Chelsea’s pursuit of silverware remains alive as they advance to the quarter-finals, where they will face Leicester at home.

The match began poorly for the hosts, as a defensive mix-up led to Leeds taking an early lead. Chelsea struggled to cope with Leeds’ high press, resulting in a lackluster pass from Axel Disasi to Moises Caicedo near the edge of the box. Seizing the opportunity, Leeds capitalized on the mistake, with Mateo Joseph finding the back of the net.

However, Caicedo quickly made amends for his error. Combining well with Noni Madueke, Caicedo delivered a pass to Nicolas Jackson, who skillfully scored from a difficult angle to equalize. Just before halftime, Mykhailo Mudryk extended Chelsea’s lead by converting a well-executed cross from Raheem Sterling.

Despite the shaky start, Chelsea rallied and demonstrated resilience to secure a crucial victory.
