Reece James Delivers Exciting News: He’s Nearing a Comeback for Chelsea

In a recent update from Reece James, the captain of Chelsea, he has delivered some exciting news to all the fans.

Sharing on his personal page, Chelsea winger Reece James revealed that he is on his way back to playing after a long period of injury. His status update stated, “All the setbacks have been disappointing, but the comeback is near,” accompanied by images of him training with the ball on the field, in the treatment room, and a group photo with teammates Enzo Fernández and Marc Cucurella.

Reece James has been sidelined since December 2023 due to an ankle injury he suffered in a 0-2 defeat against Everton in the 16th round of the Premier League on December 10, 2023. Since then, the English international has been focused on his recovery, resulting in him only making nine appearances this season. As one of Chelsea’s key players, Reece James’ announcement brings great joy to both The Blues and the England national team.

Reece James has not had a season without major injuries since the 2020/21 season, where he made 32 appearances in the Premier League. From the beginning of the following season, 2021/22, until now, Reece James has missed a total of 74 matches for Chelsea. Reece James is an indispensable right-back for Chelsea, showcasing strong defensive abilities and sharp attacking contributions. His exceptional physical strength makes him a solid barrier against opponent attacks. Additionally, the 24-year-old player is highly versatile and can also play as a center-back in a three-man defense system, allowing coach Pochettino to have more flexibility in his tactics.

This weekend, Chelsea will have their next match in the 27th round of the Premier League against Brentford. Reece James is undoubtedly unable to participate, but The Blues can expect his presence in upcoming important matches against opponents like Arsenal or Manchester United.
