On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned football superstar, along with his teammates from Al Nassr, arrived in the UAE for their Asian Champions League quarterfinal first-leg match against Al Ain Football Club.
The match is scheduled to take place on Monday at the state-of-the-art Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, starting at 8 pm UAE time.
This will mark Ronaldo’s inaugural official match in the UAE as a member of Al Nassr. After a period of suspension, the athlete will return on Monday with the objective of revitalizing Al Nassr’s season and leading the Saudi Arabian team closer to their first-ever Asian Champions League title.
The continental competition presents Al Nassr with the greatest opportunity to secure a trophy this season, and the team will embark on a short journey to face Al Ain, who emerged as champions in 2003, in the first leg of the quarterfinals. On Tuesday, there will be an all-Saudi Arabia clash as Al-Hilal, boasting a record four continental titles, confronts Al-Ittihad, the champions in 2004 and 2005.
