Steph Curry and Draymond Green’s Astonishing Response to Warriors’ Devastating 52-Point Defeat

Ironically, Steph Curry didn’t seem to be too bothered by the loss. Instead, he gave his rivals all the credit they deserved and claimed it wasn’t surprising to see them play so well

Since the beginning of The Dynasty, the Golden State Warriors have experienced a great deal. Set records, suffered terrible defeats, rallied from the d𝔢ad, and went down in NBA history as one of the best teams ever.

These ups and downs recently came to an all-time low. The Boston Celtics exacted rev𝔢nge on them for losing to them in the NBA Finals two years prior, as Stephen Curry managed just 4 points in a 52-point thrashing.

The Warriors were behind by 44 points at the half and were never able to close the gap. The third-biggest victory in franchise history was a message from the Celtics, who never let up.

Draymond Green and Steph Curry Discuss the 52-Point Blowout

Ironically, the defeat didn’t seem to hurt Steph Curry too much. Rather, he gave his opponents all the credit they earned and asserted that it wasn’t shσcking that they performed so well:

Following the defeat, Curry remarked, “The way that they’ve been playing, they seem very sure of themselves in their identity and who they are.” “Acknowledge them. Tonight, they completely outplayed us, and it was one of those rare occasions where we had a difficult day and they took advantage of us.

Draymond Green discussed the Warriors’ approach to slow down Jaylen Brown, who finished with a game-high 29 points on 11 of 19 shots from the field, including five three-pointers:

“We executed our plan approximately fifteen minutes prior to exiting the changing area,” stated Green. Therefore, I don’t think we developed a comprehensive defensive plan. I found trying it to be enjoyable. In fact, I was all in favor of it, saying, “Let’s try it and see if it works.” Well, if not, that’s okay. If so, anything was discovered. Okay, it didn’t work, let’s move on.

It is obvious that the Warriors won’t worry about it; they will just brush off this setback and go on to the next one. When you’re outscored by 52 points, that may be your only option.
