NBA fans are amazed by D’Angelo Russell’s dominant game as LeBron and the Lakers defeat Thunder

On Monday night, D’Angelo Russell’s scorching shooting helped the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-104.

In 34 minutes, the 28-year-old ended with 26 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists. He made five of his eleven three-point shots and shot 9 of his 17 overall.Russell was having such a good game that when he attempted to pass the ball to LeBron James, it was returned to him right away with a look that effectively told him he had to shoot.

Russell made a ridiculous off-balance three with Jalen Williams all over him, proving that James’ method worked.Russell made his third three-pointer in seventy seconds to help the Lakers increase their lead to twenty-four and almost kill the game.

Since Kobe Bryant in the 2005–06 season, Russell’s stat line on Monday represents the first time a Lakers player has reached such levels.Russell is supposed to cool off soon, which might be problematic for the Lakers, who have had trouble producing consistent success from behind the arc.

We’re over two months into Russell’s hot streak, and it hasn’t happened yet. In 21 games since January 17, he has averaged 22.1 points on 46.4 percent shooting (44.4 percent from three-point range) and 6.4 assists per contest.

The Lakers will most likely be optimistic about their prospects of defeating Oklahoma City if they can advance out of the play-in competition. They defeated the Thunder in three of their four regular-season encounters.

This season, the Lakers are the only club to have defeated the Thunder three times. Although Oklahoma City is currently level with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the loss column, their victory also forced Oklahoma City to drop from its position as the top seed in the Western Conference.

When Los Angeles hosts the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, it will be looking for its fourth victory in five games.
