After Anthony Davis’ incredible performance against the Timberwolves, his parents surprised him with a birthday cake

In the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game on Sunday, Anthony Davis commanded the court. After the game, Davis’s parents gave him a birthday cake as a kind of pleasant surprise as he was sitting in the locker room with his friends.

Even though Davis didn’t actually turn 31 until a few hours later on Monday, his teammates nonetheless sung him a happy birthday. Still, after the nine-time All-Star’s historic performance, a celebration of some kind was definitely in order.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With his impressive final game stats of 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocks, Davis undoubtedly made his parents, Anthony Davis Sr. and Erainer Davis, proud. After steals were added to the official stats in 1973–74, he made NBA history by being the first player to record 25 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in a single game.

The Timberwolves, who were without Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, were unable to contain Davis. He controlled their injured frontcourt, helping Los Angeles to a 120-109 victory.

The Lakers are now 36-30 overall and, for the first time this season, are six games above.500 after this victory. Although they are still in ninth place in the Western Conference, they are only a short distance behind the 37-27 Phoenix Suns, who are ranked sixth.When a reporter inquired about Davis’s birthday plans during his postgame media session, he responded with humor.

“Nоthing,” Dаvis smirked аnd аnswered. “I оnly knоw thаt I hаve а few (оf) dаys left. оn Tuesdаy, I’ll be cоmpletely—well, I wоn’t sаy cоmpletely—recоvered, but аt leаst 80%.”
