Manchester United’s Double Move: Real Madrid Star Targeted as Potential Sancho Replacement if Zidane Assumes Managerial Role Ahead of Ten Hag

Zinedine Zidane has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Ten Hag as captain due to his recent lackluster performance. However, it is widely anticipated that Sancho will leave in January following a public argument with his management, which has resulted in him being mostly sidelined.

Manchester United is currently struggling in their Champions League group, sitting in last place after winning only one of their last four games. Their recent 4-3 loss to Copenhagen came after Marcus Rashford received a straight red card when United was leading 2-0 in the second half.

Zidane, who left Real Madrid for the second time in 2021, has not managed any team since then. If he were to join United, it would mark his first experience in the Premier League as either a player or a manager. The arrival of Zidane could benefit Raphael Varane, as the French midfielder played a key role in helping Varane secure a new contract with Real Madrid in 2019. Zidane still enjoys a strong following among fans at the Bernabeu from both of his previous spells as manager.

In 2019, French attacker Rorygo scored his first professional goal against Galatasaray in a Champions League match. He has impressed with his attacking skills and defensive work rate whenever given the opportunity to play.

Earlier in the season, Rodrygo was linked to Liverpool, but reports suggest that Real Madrid would be willing to sell him for €100 million if a club makes such an offer. Rodrygo recently signed a contract extension with Real Madrid until 2028, and his release clause is set at a staggering €1 billion. However, a meeting with Zidane could sway Rodrygo’s decision, particularly if a substantial offer is made and if Carlo Ancelotti departs from Real Madrid next summer.
