Jayson Tatum, a standout player for the Boston Celtics, wants to participate in every Olympic event this summer.

Tatum, 26, is hoping to rejoin Team USA when the Games take place in Paris this summer after winning a gold medal with them in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Tatum tells PEOPLE, “I would love the opportunity,” to be a member of Team USA this summer.

Tatum remarks that “there were nо fans” at the cоmpetitiоns. “I played in Tоkyо three years agо and wоn the gоld medal, and that experience was different because it was still arоund CоVID,” Tatum explains.

“And we weren’t allowed to bring our families or attend any other activities,” he continues. “Hopefully, this summer I’ll be lucky enough to be on the squad and experience the Olympics in full. According to Tatum, James’s commendation is “the ultimate sign of respect” in the NBA.
