By defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 136-124 on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to five games.
They pulled it off without Anthony Davis, who sustained a left knee hyperextension in Tuesday’s comeback victory over the Bucks and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season.
LeBron James made a triumphant return after sitting out the Milwaukee game; he scored 23 points, grabbed 14 boards, and dished out 12 assists.
The remainder of the squad came through for Davis, as seven players scored in double digits.
With 32 points, including 7-8 from beyond the arc, Rui Hachimura had a career-best performance.
The bench mob was headed by Taurean Prince, who scored 15 goals in 23 minutes of play.
This five-game victory streak is the longest of the season for Los Angeles, who are now 41-32.

Important Points to Remember
Even if Memphis is a terrible team, Los Angeles has had a tough time winning games they should have this season. It was satisfying to witness their rather effortless victory.
With a five-game winning run under their belts and a current deficit of only 1.5 games to the Suns, the Lakers look to be reaching their best exactly when the season needs it most.
This is the last long road trip of the season, and the supporters would want nothing more than to see the team get out to a fast start despite the absence of two key players.
On Friday, when they face the Indiana Pacers, the Lakers will be aiming for their sixth consecutive win.
