Because of their parents’ successful collegiate athletic careers, the three gifted kids seemed doomed to become basketball superstars right from the start. As a matter of fact, their mom, Toya, was selected 1982 Pac-10 player of the year.

Justin, Aaron, and Jrue had all developed a deep passion for the sport by the time they were high school students at Campbell Hall in Los Angeles. The example set by Aaron’s elder brothers inspired him to do his very best.Aaron claims that he was constantly motivated to improve so that he could stay up with his older brothers, Justin and Jrue, because he was the youngest of his siblings.

Aaron says he was the “weakest one” at first, but once he and his older brothers got enough of practice, he felt like he “could play against anybody.”

“Even at a young age, in high school, l felt like I could play against older guys, like in the NBA and college,” he stated. “I think Justin was in college at the time but he made it to the NBA and that means I could eventually make it there too and just go at these older guys and go at them hard.”
