The Warriors are pretty much set for the 9/10 play-in game.
The Pelicans’ aerial attacƙ made it impossible for the Warriors to score, even though they had a chance to move up to the eighth seed in the West. New Orleans made 20 out of 38 shots, which is 52.6%. CJ McCollum scored 28 points by making 8 of 13 shots from deep. Even though Draymond Green played great defense on Zion Williamson, the Pelicans star still scored 26 points.
Steph Curry and Golden State tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Pelicans held them off. Curry scored 16 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, but he also turned the ball over seven times during the game.
Curry’s rush came too late, and the team lost 114–109. For the Warriors (45–36) to move up to eighth place, they had to win both of their final games. This means they’ll likely be in the play-in round with the ninth and tenth seeded teams.
Both the top and bottom teams in the Western Conference had a cɾazy night. Denver lost a 23-point lead to the Spurs, who are now in last place, and dropped from first to third place. The Timberwolves and the Lakers both got through tough games against teams with 13 injured players.
Both the Warriors and the Kings had to win after the Lakers bҽat them because all three California teams are competing for the eighth spot.
