Lakers give aggrҽssive D’Angelo Russell and “kเllҽr” Anthony Davis credit for their victory in Game 4 over the Nuggets.
In the Los Angeles Lakers’ Game 4 victory against the Denver Nuggets, Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell both bounced back—albeit in different ways.
The Los Angeles Lakers were able to avoid being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs by the Denver Nuggets for a second consecutive season because of the outstanding rebounding efforts of D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis. At Crypto.com Arena on Saturday, LeBron James led the way with 30 points in the 119-108 victory in Game 4.
In the three games prior, the Lakers had been outrebounded by 29 for the series. In the third game, they allowed 14 offensivҽ rebounds.
On Saturday, Aaron Gordon, the game’s hero, finished with just seven points and three rebounds (Nikola Jokic still finished with 33/14/14). The Lakers had six more rebounders than the Nuggets. Denver only scored five points on second chances.
Austin Reaves (21 points, 6 assists) remarked, “AD does so much for our team, offensively, defensively, and obviously rebounding the ball.” It means a lot to him to go up 23 in a game like this.Clearly, that has been emphasized. It is an issue that needs to be resolved. And it was evident from his attitude that he was just thinking, “I’ll do this.”
LeBron stated, “We knew we had to bounce back, and AD was obviously kเllҽr.”
