Valverde Hopes to Inherit Real Madrid’s 8 Shirt Following Kroos’ Exit

Toni Kroos said he would be quitting from football after this summer’s European Championship in his home country of Germany. This has caused more problems. Even though he is 34 years old, the player is still one of the best midfielders in the world. The Champions League final will be his last game for Real Madrid.

Valverde’s dream is wear number 8 for Real Madrid, and with Kroos leaving, it opens the door for him to take the squad number for next season onwards. It would be richly deserved, and it will come entirely with Kroos’ blessing

A lot of people at Real Madrid have been paying respect to Kroos this week, including Federico Valverde, who is Kroos’ teammate. Diario AS says that the Uruguayan sent Kroos a lovely message, and Kroos replied with a very interesting message.

“You have all the skills you need to lead this team in the future.” I’ll always be there for you, and tomorrow we’ll talk about something else… #8.

The story goes on to say that Valverde wants to wear number 8 for Real Madrid. Now that Kroos has left, he can do that starting with the 2019–2020 season. It would be well earned, and Kroos will give his full approval.
