After his “early arrival,” Stephen Curry of the Warriors revealed the baby boy’s name.To the Curry family, congratulations!
When Riley Curry, then only a young man, stole the show during a 2015 postseason press conference, it seemed like only yesterday. Father Time passes by far too soon. Stephen Curry is a father of four children the next moment you know, and everyone is gushing over his postgame cuteness. Indeed, that was not a misprint. Caius Chai, Steph’s fourth child and the newest boy, was just announced as the birth of Steph and his wife Ayesha Curry.
The announcement was made public on Instagram, where Steph posted a photo of himself holding his newborn’s hand.
“Our darling baby boy made the decision to arrive early!” Curry wrote a caption. “He’s doing fantastic, and as a family of six, we are at last getting settled at home! Really appreciative!
In a few years, it appears that another Curry will be observing from the sidelines—and perhaps grabbing headlines at press conferences. Steph and Ayesha were already parents to three children before Caius was born: the well-known Riley, who was born in 2012; Ryan, their second kid and current eight-year-old girl; and Cannon, their first son, who was born six years prior.
Speaking of Cannon, he also had the well-known “Hello Klay Thompson” moment in 2022, which was a touching moment that made everyone smile. (via NBA)
Stephen Curry is still a great player at age 36.Being a father of four serves as another reminder of Chef Curry’s advanced age—the four-time champion is already thirty-six years old. Still, he certainly doesn’t play like one. Stephen Curry carried on doing what he did best throughout the previous season: blowing opponents away with long-range shots. The NBA player of the year averaged 26.4 points every outing. He shot 40.8% from three-point range and finished each game with an average of 4.8 made three-pointers.
Curry is not the one to blame for the Warriors’ inconsistent season, even though they experienced their own ups and downs. Curry was the main target of criticism during Golden State’s campaign, but there were also games where he was the one doing all the damage.
This offseason, the organization may have to make a number of tough decisions regarding the future of its present roster. However, one thing is certain: Caius Chai will most likely get to witness his father wear a Warriors jersey once he becomes old enough, given the way Stephen Curry is playing.
