A few years ago, Paul Lambert was visiting Dortmund to watch his old team when he got a text message from Jude Bellingham. After the match, the younger man wished to gift his shirt to the Champions League champion.

Lambert says, “It was lovely that he had his shirt for me when we met.” It was deeply damp. “Jude, do you know the key to being a top player?” I asked him. You don’t perspire.” He chuckled, we conversed, and I took his picture. He had said, “All right, legend,” to me.
