England is perfect and almost certain to make it to the round of 16 after a 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday. Denmark made it to the semifinals last time.
Also, they played badly and made a lot of mistakes, which made coach Gareth Southgate angry because his players missed a lot of chances to score late in the game.
“I’m responsible for the fact that the team didn’t work today,” Southgate said as fans booed him behind the England goal in the second half.
England got off to a fast start again at Euro 2024 when Harry Kane scored in the 18th minute. However, the leader was taken off in the second half as the team lost steam.
Morten Hjulmand scored a strong low shot from far away to tie the game in the 34th minute after Kane lost the ball while defending.
England has been winning tournaments for eight years with Southgate in charge. The Three Lions made it to the final of Euro 2020 after beating Denmark in the last four. At the last two World Cups, they made it to the semifinals and the quarterfinals.
