William Saliba kept his second clean sheet for France at Euro 2024 in a 0-0 draw with Netherlands on Friday night.
Our centre-back was France’s most reliable player on the ball, giving it away just once in 90 minutes.
Les Bleus went into the game in a strong position, having beaten Austria 1-0 on Monday.
Netherlands had the ball in the back of the net in the 69th minute, but a VAR check found Denzel Dumfries to be in an offside position and interfering with play.
The first goalless draw of the tournament left France second in Group D on four points, only behind Netherlands on goals scored.
Sadly for Jakub Kiwior and Poland, the result meant that they were the first nation to be eliminated from the competition after their 3-1 defeat to Austria left them bottom of the group.
Jakub played 90 minutes of the match as Gernot Trauner gave Austria the lead with a header into the top-left corner before Krzysztof Piatek equalised on the half-hour mark.
Christoph Baumgartner put Austria back in front with 24 minutes to go, before Marko Arnautovic increased the lead from the penalty spot.
