Phil Foden Rejoins England’s Euro 2024 Camp Following the Arrival of His Baby Boy with Girlfriend Rebecca Cooke, Having Prioritized Witnessing the Birth of His Third Child

Thursday night, Phil Foden made his way back to England’s training camp following his attendance at his third child’s birth.

The Manchester City star returned to the UK on Wednesday, the Football Association revealed, citing a “pressing family matter.”

Following Tuesday’s draw against Slovenia, Foden immediately took a plane back to England to be with his family.

With the expectation of being able to practice in some manner at the team’s Weimar headquarters on Friday, Foden is scheduled to return to Germany on Thursday evening following the birth of a newborn boy by his partner, attacker Rebecca Cooke.

The 24-year-old and Cooke, 22—who is expecting their third child—made their pregnancy public in April of this year. The family took pictures in front of a balloon arch that was blue and white with bright LED letters that said “Baby Foden” on it.

The family threw a spectacular baby shower to celebrate their wonderful news, and they posted photos of the event on social media.

Phil Foden has temporarily left the England camp and returned to the UK due to an urgent family emergency, according to an FA spokeswoman.

Cooke and Foden have a five-year-old boy named Ronnie and a one-year-old daughter named True.

Ronnie, who is managed by his parents and has four million followers on Instagram, provided a glimpse into the baby shower festivities on his social media platform.

In the final 16 of Euro 2024, England has drawn Slovakia after winning their group. If England advances, they will play the victor of Switzerland’s match against Italy in the round of 16.

Childhood sweethearts Foden and Cooke are said to have been together ever since they first met at a party as youngsters.
