Wayne Rooney Sports a Relaxed Look in a Grey Tracksuit as He Refuels His £200,000 Audi in Cheshire, Transitioning from BBC Pundit to New Ventures

On Thursday, Wayne Rooney was spotted at a Cheshire gas station, cutting a relaxed figure.

The 38-year-old former English football player was wearing a grey tracksuit. He recently quit his position as a pundit for the BBC’s coverage of Euro 2024 and returned home.

The Under Armour casual outfit included a grey hoodie and matching slim-fit jogging trousers.

The professional football player topped up his £200,000 Audi at a nearby gas station while wearing a black cap.

The former footballer, 38, recently left his role as a pundit for BBC's Euro 2024 coverage and headed back to England immediately to take on the role of Plymouth Argyle's new manager

His outing comes after Wayne admitted he was disappointed to not get the chance to work on any England games after leaving the BBC's coverage of Euro 2024

He wore a black Apple Watch and matching chunky white trainers with the outfit.

His appearance follows Wayne’s admission, following his departure from the BBC’s coverage of Euro 2024, that he was sad not to have the opportunity to work on any England games.

Wayne has been employed by the company in Germany for the competition’s group stages.

On Wednesday, he did, however, clarify to The Mirror that he will be returning to England right away.

The legendary player from England is expected to take up his new role as manager of Plymouth Argyle. His team is scheduled to resume training the following week.

Wayne was initially supposed to serve as a BBC analyst for the duration of the competition.

His intentions, however, were altered when he accepted the Plymouth position, and his last match was Wednesday’s goalless draw between Belgium and Ukraine.

The Manchester United icon has already acknowledged that he had a number of regrets about quitting his position.

Yes, things have gone well, he said on the Football Daily podcast. It’s evidently new and different from what I’m used to.

“I’ve worked in television before, but I’ve also spent a lot of time here, so it’s been different, but I’ve enjoyed it,” the speaker said.

It comes after Wayne shared a sweet family snap with his wife Coleen, also 38, and their four sons Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, earlier this month

.

The sweet snap came after the former professional footballer and the WAG celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary, with a gushing throwback photo from their £5million nuptials

‘It’s lovely to spend some time here, but I haven’t really had any England games to talk about, and the games I have played haven’t been the best either. Tomorrow, I’m taking a plane home.

“On July 3rd, the boys will be returning, so I’ll be heading straight home to Plymouth.”

“When you see the fixtures today, there was excitement.” You get pretty enthusiastic as you peruse your schedule, the opening games, and other things.

The BBC picked two of England’s three group-stage matches, but Wayne was not picked to commentate on either one.

Instead, Cesc Fabregas, Rio Ferdinand, and Micah Richards served as the pundits during Gary Lineker’s hosting of the coverage of the victory over Serbia.

The Brentford manager Thomas Frank, Rio, and Micah accompanied Gary for the draw against Denmark.

The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Italy, with the big day said to have cost an estimated £5m

It happened after Wayne celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary and published a cute family photo with Coleen and their four sons.

Spending time with their boys, the 38-year-old WAG and the former professional football player, who recently marked their 16th wedding anniversary, couldn’t help but smile.

In the selfie, their oldest son Kai, 14, stood taller than Coleen and Wayne, while his younger brothers, who looked similar to him, made goofy expressions.

Klay, 11, Kit, 8, and Cass, 6, bore a striking resemblance to their well-known football manager father.
