Kai Havertz is one goal away from tying Mario Gomez and Jürgen Klinsmann for the most goals scored by a German in Euros history. There’s a possible three more games to go 👀

Kai Havertz: “The king of Germany”

“King Havertz” is the title that statistics site Opta gave to Kai Havertz after what he showed for the German team.

Germany had a tough time against Denmark early this morning. However, since Kai Havertz converted a penalty, the “Tank” has had an easier time. Finally, they closed the match with a goal from Jamal Musiala in the 68th minute.

Opta statistics show that Havertz is Germany’s main striker at the EURO finals and has come close to the scoring record of his predecessors.

Havertz continued to score for Germany.

Specifically, Opta said that only Jurgen Klinsmann and Mario Gomez (5 goals) scored more goals for Germany at EURO than Kai Havertz (4 goals), while Havertz scored 5 goals in the last 10 matches for the national team.

As for Germany, defeating Denmark marked their first quarter-final appearance at a major tournament since EURO 2016. In that tournament, Germany reached the semi-finals.

Germany’s opponent in the quarter-finals is now the winner of the match between Spain and Georgia.
