Immediately, England rushed forward. This time they showed a clear transformation with strong and effective attacking ability. And the “Three Lions” also quickly got an equalizer in the 18th minute. Harry Kane earned a penalty after being kicked in the foot by Denzel Dumfries in the penalty area.

The Bayern Munich striker also converted the penalty himself, leveling the score at 1-1. The equalizer gave Southgate’s team even more confidence. They continued to put pressure on the team and created more chances.

Phil Foden was the most outstanding player. He had at least 3 shots that put the Dutch goal in dangҽr. In the 23rd minute, Foden skillfully dribbled the ball in a narrow space and finished past goalkeeper Verbruggen, but defender Dumfries was able to retreat and block.

In the 32nd minute, Man City’s striker curled the ball dangerously and hit the post. Before that, the Netherlands also had a chance with Dumfries’ header hitting the crossbar.

In the second half, both teams played more cautiously. Therefore, there were fewer dangerous situations. The Netherlands relied more on high balls and Van Dijk almost had something to do, but his shot was blocked by Pickford.

England pressed again in the final minutes, and they were given a serious warning when Saka fired home a goal for the Netherlands in the 79th minute, only for Walker to be ruled out for offside.

Then, manager Gareth Southgate made a bold substitution decision. He took off both stars Harry Kane and Phil Foden. This method was effective when the duo Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins both shined.

Palmer passed the ball, and Watkins turned and shot diagonally to seal a 2-1 victory for the “Three Lions” in the 90+1 minute.

This victory helps England reach the Euro final for the second time in a row. Their opponents will be Spain.
