Zidane, finally a new club!

If he plans to take the reins of the France team in the event of the departure of Didier Deschamps, Zidane will have to wait a long time. Since the French Football Federation (FFF) has confirmed that Deschamps will complete his contract (2026) with the Blues. The announcement was made the day after the elimination of the Blues at Euro 2024 by Spain.

But the former Real Madrid player has not yet found a new club, rather his child, Théo, the third of the siblings. Released by Real Madrid this summer after six years of marriage and free since July 1, the 22-year-old central midfielder has just signed up with Córdoba FC in the Spanish second division, until 2026.

“Córdoba Football Club is pleased to announce the incorporation of Théo Zidane Fernández. Théo, a midfielder of great talent and great projection, has signed a contract which binds him to our club for the next two seasons. The Córdoba entity acquires the services of a young talent from Madrid’s La Fábrica and his promising future makes him an asset for the club,” the club said in an official statement.

It should be remembered that Théo Zidane is coming off a more or less satisfactory season with Real Madrid Castilla, playing 37 matches in total, for 2 goals and 4 assists.
