That follows Jude Bellingham’s actions in Berlin following the full-time whistle, when the 21-year-old took the time to comfort every England player following the heartbreaking loss.

The Real Madrid player did not play in the final versus Italy, so he was on the losing side in an international final for the first time, although helping Cole Palmer score England’s equalizer.

After the loss, Bellingham said in a post-match interview: “We’ve given everything, so to lose like that is really cruel.”

“We didn’t play our greatest game, but we felt like we got back into the game and there were some great moments.
