Mason Greenwood’s transfer to Marseille has been officially confirmed by MANCHESTER UNITED in a concise 57-word statement.
The 22-year-old arrived in France Friday night and signed a contract that might be worth over £30 million, extending until 2029. This was shortly before United confirmed the arrival of Lille’s Leny Yoro, who would cost £52 million.
Mason Greenwood has been confirmed as Marseille’s newest recruit.

Ligue 1 powerhouse Marseille will pay an initial £27 million and a further £3.2 million for the England forward with one cap.
Included in the package is a fifty percent sell-on clause for United.
His departure has now been finalized, the Red Devils have stated in a brief statement on their website.
“Mason Greenwood has left Manchester United and joined Olympique de Marseille on a permanent transfer,” the statement stated.
The 22-year-old English attacker made 129 appearances and scored 35 goals for United since making his debut in 2019. He spent the previous season on loan at Getafe in Spain.

Greenwood, who Marseille disclosed will don No. 10 in his formal debut video, enrolled at the age of six in United’s development academy located in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
After rising through the ranks, he made his senior debut in 2019 and established himself as a mainstay in the first squad.
Greenwood played on loan for Spanish team Getafe during the previous season, when he excelled and was named Player of the Year.
