Tchouameni puts his talent at the disposal of young football fans in Senegal

Tchouaméni has set up a Foundation called “Prosperi” which is an endowment fund dedicated to improving living conditions through projects focused on health, education and sport. It is actively involved in initiatives such as the construction of health centers and sports infrastructure for disadvantaged communities

Accompanied by his mother, Josette Tchouaméni, the French international of Cameroonian origin, Aurélien Tchouaméni is staying in Senegal. He notably carries out activities there as part of his Prosperi Foundation and met young Senegalese people to whom he promised the implementation of various projects for their benefit.

Having barely taken off his French team jersey after the elimination in the semi-final of Euro 2024, Aurélien Tchouameni headed to Dakar in Senegal. On the agenda of this visit which he is making with relatives, notably his mother, is the implementation of projects for the benefit of Senegalese youth.

“There are quite a few projects that will be implemented here via my foundation ‘Prospéri’. We wanted to chat, try to give them hope and quite simply discover this beautiful country,” commented Aurélien. “It is an honor for me to come here to Senegal, to be able to meet African youth, Senegalese youth. I wanted to meet them, try to give them advice, they asked me a lot of questions. We had a great time talking, and I’m very happy to have come here,” confides the player born to Cameroonian parents.

A link with Africa that the Blues midfielder claims: “I am very attached to Africa because I have my roots there, in Cameroon. I made investments in Senegal to allow the country to develop. I had to come see where all this was going. And I simply wanted to meet Senegalese youth to try to inspire them and give them the feeling that everything is possible in life if you give yourself the means. The main goal of the endowment fund is to create opportunities, to allow people who are in vulnerable situations to have a better future.

Senegal is only a first step, as the player’s mother, Josette Tchouaméni, explains: “It’s a very young structure. We started with actions in France, because the endowment fund was created in France, but we are keen to turn to the African continent, where the needs can be felt. It could be in Cameroon, our country of origin, as in Senegal, in Ivory Coast… We also want to do something for African youth, and that is what explains our presence in Senegal.”
