Kylian Mbappé is expected to join his new Real Madrid team-mates in receiving a state-of-the-art BMW ahead of the new season. The Frenchman and his team-mates benefit from Los Blancos’ sponsorship deal with the German carmaker.

The French superstar was unveiled as the club’s latest Galactico earlier this month after years of speculation linking him with a move to the Spanish capital.

Playing for the biggest club in the world comes with its own perks. Not only will he see his already-extremely high profile boosted in the form of new brand deals, but he will also be competing for some of the biggest prizes on offer in the sport.

Another off-field benefit of being a member of the Los Blancos first team is the gift of an electric BMW, as the club have signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the German manufacturer.

Similar to Bayern Munich’s deal with Audi, each first-team player, along with coach Carlo Ancelotti and even club president Florentino Perez, are given a new car before each season.

According to Marca, Mbappé will receive the i7 M70 xDrive. This is a car with two motors, one on the rear axle producing 489 horsepower and another on the front axle producing 258 horsepower.

This gives the car the ability to reach speeds of 250km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in an incredible 3.7 seconds. The car retails for over £164,000.

Mbappé won’t feel out of place on the training pitch, as many of his teammates are expected to opt for the same model. In fact, President Perez has already used this car.
