In a strange move, Endrick names both Cristiano Ronaldo and the England World Cup winner as childhood heroes.
The new player Real Madrid bought Endrick has named his two youth heroes, and they are not the ones you might think.
The Brazilian turned 18 this summer and joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras for an unknown fee.
Endrick’s answer will have surprised fans
Fans saw him for the first time at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of last month. His deal runs until 2030.
He’s now told his fans a little more about himself, which includes what his heroes are called.
In an interview, Endrick was asked in Spanish who his childhood heroes were. He said, “Cristiano Ronaldo and Bobby Charlton.”
There’s no need to doubt that Sir Bobby Charlton deserves to be Endrick’s hero.
His team won the World Cup in 1966, the same year he won the Ballon d’Or.
Charlton, who died in October of last year, played most of his football career for Manchester United.
He has scored 234 goals, which is the second most of any Red Devils player in the club’s history.
Charlton is a football legend
The player with the second most goals is Wayne Rooney, who was captain and scored 253. But Endrick was born a long time after Charlton’s career, which shows how well he knows football history.
For two times, Ronaldo was the best player for Man United. He is now at Al Nassr and is nearing the end of his career.
Among other things, he won three Premier League wins with the team.
There have also been five Ballon d’Or awards given to the 39-year-old.
Endrick most recently played against Barcelona in a friendly game before the season. They lost 2-1 to their foes from El Clasico.
He made a pre-agreement to play for Real Madrid in 2022 after doing well in Serie A in Brazil.
Endrick played 82 times for Palmeiras and scored 21 goals and set up 4 others.
