Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reported that Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus all want Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande.
Sporting Lisbon signed Diomande for 7.5 million euros in January 2023 from FC Midtjylland. It was a successful deal for the Portuguese club, as the 20-year-old has had impressive performances since then. It is quite understandable that Diomande is interested in many clubs, despite the fact that he has a release clause of 80 million euros. This is a significant profit that Sporting is aiming for.
Competition for Diomande is increasingly fierce. Chelsea is said to have the upper hand in the race to sign the Russian Coast star, ahead of Arsenal, Juventus or Newcastle United. The Blues are said to have contacted the player’s representatives and are ready to meet Sporting’s asking price of 60 million euros, potentially up to 80 million euros with bonuses.
Anyway, Chelsea’s current financial situation is unstable. They are forced to sell players before buying. And this could open up opportunities for Arsenal, if they are willing to spend like the Blues . The Gunners need a quality backup plan for William Saliba, and Diomande is the ideal name.
Man Utd competes with Arsenal for the Croatian ‘prodigy’ to offer £5m
ARSENAL and Manchester United are set to battle it out to sign wonderkid Dino Klapija, according to reports.
The 16-year-old currently plays for NK Kustosija in Croatia.
Dino Klapija is a target for several top clubs
In exchange for agreeing to let go of the striker, they are requesting a £5 million payment and a cut of any upcoming sales.
The Gunners have increased their interest in him, although Man Utd have been pursuing him for months.
Scouts were dispatched by Mikel Arteta to see him play in his last three games in Croatia while the club considered a January move.
Speaking about his impending transfer, Klapija’s family is said to favor Arsenal’s route over United’s.
The prodigy is also being watched by Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and RB Leipzig.
When Klapija’s family moved back to Croatia, he left the MLS team New York City and joined NK Kustosija instead.
He is qualified to represent both the US and the Balkan country.
Earlier this month, the Americans summoned him up to their Under-17 team.
Arsenal’s Under-18 team reached the FA Youth Cup final the previous season, so the team is concentrating on future-oriented building.
They have been putting a lot of effort into securing their gifted children, including Myles Lewis-Skelly and Amario Cozier-Duberry.
