Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal cleverly showed off 2 Guinness records on social media after an impressive performance at the recent EUEO 2024
Yamal was recognized by the World Book of Records as the youngest player to appear (16 years, 338 days) and score (16 years and 362 days) in a match at a EURO.
Before Yamal appeared in the tournament in Germany, all players who appeared at a EURO were 17 years or older.
In addition, Yamal also set a series of other records such as the youngest player in history to create an assist, the youngest player to appear in the final of a major tournament, and the youngest player to win the EURO at the age of 17 years and 1 day.
After the compensatory break, Yamal and a number of other players are gradually focusing on the new season of Barcelona. Previously, the young star born in 2007 and his teammate Nico Williams went to Milan (Italy), some islands in Greece and Marbella (Spain) to relax.
Yamal and Torres have not been able to work directly with coach Hansi Flick. Barca is currently touring the US and is expected to return on August 9. After that, they will join their home club and can play in a friendly match against Monaco on August 12.
Barca is facing many injuries, especially in midfield. Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Pedri are all unable to play. In addition, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez and Eric Garcia are playing at the Paris Olympics for Spain U23. According to the schedule, the team at Olímpic Lluís Companys will have their La Liga opening match against Valencia on the morning of August 18.
