Madrid must be patient with Endrick as they were with Arda Guler

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the team’s performance in the first two pre-season training games in the US and asked Madridistas to be patient with young star Endrick, as they were with Arda Guler last season.

Real Madrid are in the US, where they have lost their first two pre-season training games. However, Carlo Ancelotti is not worried and sees this training camp as an opportunity for all the players, including new signing Endrick.

The Italian coach said in a conversation with the media: “We have to be patient with him, Endrick has shown great quality and talent. Like with Arda Guler last year, we should not put pressure on young players. Endrick is under a lot of pressure, he is a player loved all over the world, especially in Brazil, but we have to be patient with this type of player, especially with young players.”

The Real Madrid coach explained that the players who have accompanied the team to the United States are “very good, well prepared and fit, they just need game time.” He added: “We need to work together. When they all come back, we will work together and create a good atmosphere.”

Real Madrid face a historic challenge to win seven trophies this season. That also means playing more games: “We have to compete and I can assure you that we will do it. If the schedule demands it, we have a squad of quality to compete in all competitions as always, that is the club’s request.”

Madrid have a final training session with Chelsea in the United States on August 7 before returning to play the European Super Cup against Atalanta in the early hours of August 15. Ancelotti said: “I expect the match against Chelsea to be similar to the El Clasico against Barcelona. These are pre-season matches, we have to improve the players’ individual condition. Then we will all come back together to prepare for the first match.”
