He’s back home in Brazil for the summer and unveiled the huge work of art on his bicep.
Gabriel Jesus showed off a new tattoo on his arm of his mother Vera
The player says that he has only two idols in life – God and his mum Vera Lucia Diniz de Jesus.
In just 11 games last season, the Arsenal player recorded seven goals and five assists. When showcasing the tattoo on Instagram, he wrote, “Hello mother, thanks.”
Despite the fact that Vera is renowned for being overbearing, she has always maintained strict control over his life, both on and off the field, and she manages his finances by giving him pocket money.
Furthermore, Vera has ensured that she gets Gabriel Jesus’ pay ever since he signed his first professional deal with Brazilian team Palmeiras, allowing her to provide him only what he needs in order “to keep his feet on the ground.”

Vera looks after his finances – giving him pocket money – and has even warned girlfriends they are not allowed to sleep over
Tight Vera, a single mother of four raised in an impoverished Sao Paulo neighborhood, is in charge of practically every element of her well-known son’s life, including what he eats, where he goes, and even the women he interacts with.
She was once referred to by the footballer, who goes by Baby, as “harder to dribble than any defender I’ve ever faced.”
He also described her as a “woman warrior who always took care of me and my brothers” at one point.

The 20-year-old star in action for Brazil
Self-confessed mummy’s boy Gabriel has also another tattoo on his body which reads: “Every step I make, every road I take, every path I choose, your hand will guide me, Vera Lucia.”
The player explained: “The tattoo I had done, I didn’t tell her that I was going to do it, but when I got home, my mother was much calmer when she saw that her name was on it.
“She liked it more than I did, so she didn’t scold me too much.”
And she also slapped a “no-snogging” rule on the 20-year-old star.
The forward scored seven goals and added five assists in just 11 matches last season
In an interview in Brazil Vera said: “Girlfriends have to live by my rules, and there’ll be no heavy kissing. Staying over, only once in a while.
“I will never accept that my son disrespects the daughters of others. No son of mine is going to get someone else’s daughter pregnant. I demand respect because I raised all three of them on my own, with the help of God.”
He eats daily shake of yoghurt, bananas and oats, made by Vera’s which she claims helps stave off her son’s intestinal cramps, which “run in the family”.
