Liverpool players have wasted no time in enjoying their time off

From trips to the Monaco Grand Prix, visits to former clubs and some valuable downtime, Liverpool players have wasted no time in enjoying their time off

It’s been a week since Liverpool’s season ended, and players have jetted off to various parts of the world to take advantage of what will be a brief break for the majority of them.

With international tournaments for European and South American players this summer, the Reds’ season ends quickly and they report for duty with their respective nations.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk found Monaco to be an appealing destination as they sought to attend the year’s most prestigious Formula One race.

Alexander-Arnold is an investor in Alpine, a team at the bottom of the pack, and has been spotted throughout the weekend, even stopping for a quick chat to discuss trusting the decision to hire Arne Slot.

Van Dijk, on the other hand, has remained close to his national compatriot and RedBull driver Max Verstappen, with the two seen enjoying a beer in the paddock.

Not a bad way to spend the weekend, is it?

The Reds captain and his teammates had a difficult end to the season, missing out on the Premier League title and being knocked out of the Europa League by eventual winners Atalanta.

A number of Premier League players have already left for their holidays, with some preparing for the Euros, which begin in just over a fortnight.

Van Dijk and Verstappen then went on a Red Bull boat where they continued to conversate

Van Dijk visited Monaco and spent time with his compatriot, Formula One world champion Max Verstappen.

The two were seen in deep conversation as they grabbed non-alcoholic beer before boarding a Red Bull boat, where they continued to talk.

Dominik Szboszlai has returned to Hungary and was spotted in a DJ booth in Budapest, possibly looking to bring some skills back to the changing room next season.Meanwhile, Luis Diaz has returned to Colombia and visited his former club, Atletico Junior, where he watched them win 1-0 against Atletico Bucaramanga.

Diaz makes it a regular stop when he has the time, which is another nod to the players Liverpool brings in.

If you haven’t noticed, Mohamed Salah has changed his hairstyle and debuted his new look on Instagram – Slot is already making an impact!

Stefan Bajcetic, meanwhile, has been enjoying Marrakesh with his partner; it appears to be quite warm, which England is not currently experiencing in the north!

Curtis Jones has continued to train hard on the pitch after receiving his first senior England call-up ahead of the Euros.

He is currently in Dubai working at Precision Football’s bespoke training facilities, and he hopes to be one of the final 26 to travel to Germany.

Those called up for international duty this summer are expected to join their respective teams in the coming week.

Their return to pre-season in July will be determined by how far they advance in a tournament – all we can hope for is that they stay fit and healthy throughout!
