Salah contributed a goal and an assist to help Liverpool win 2-0 at Ipswich, the team that was promoted to the Premier League this season.

Liverpool have had a rather quiet summer, up to now, apart from new head coach Arne Slot, the Anfield team has not recruited any players for the first team.

Slot still fielded familiar faces in the starting lineup for the away match at Ipswich. The home team, cheered on by new minority shareholder – singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran from the Portman Road stands – played on par with Liverpool in the first half but they failed to take advantage of the opportunity to create a
