Vinícius Junior, a football player for Real Madrid and Brazil, is going to donate 3.3 million Brazilian reals to turn an inactive public school in São Gonçalo into a lively hub for learning, sports, and culture. Since it has been closed for almost ten years, the project led by the Vini Júnior Institute will bring the old Ciep 040 Porto do Rosa Intercultural Brazil-Russia school back to life.

The land, which was given to the Vinícius Júnior Institute after a competitive public call, will be turned into a hub for the local community as part of the project. Plans for the institute include major renovations and the building of a space that can be used for different things. This space will be able to serve up to 5,000 people from the surrounding area.

The project shows how much Vinícius Júnior cares about his roots. As someone who grew up in the Porto do Rosa neighborhood, the Real Madrid player has decided to spend in his home town, which fits with his goal of improving education and culture. The updated building will have free events and programs, such as workshops for learning, sports training, and culture shows.
