During games between Mallorca and Real Madrid, Pablo Maffeo is often a key player. Vinicius Junior knows that the defense will slow him down and make him angry. After the match hover last week, Maffeo talked to GOL PLAY about his “duel” with Vini, what they talked about during the water break, and what it’s like to defend against the “BMV.”

Around thirty minutes into the game, during the water break, the Mallorca defender tried to end his ongoing “ba𝔱𝔱le” with Vini, which had started in their previous games. “I believe that the solution was good for both of us.” We were figh𝔱ing all day, and I told him it was pointless because it didn’t help either of our lives. He said everything was okay. “Neither I nor he have a problem with each other,” Maffeo said.

Maffeo also told Vinicius how much he admired him. The defender said, “When I play against him, I have to pay more attention because I think he is the best player in the world at his position.” He even thought the Brazilian should be in the running for the Ballon d’Or. They can give it to him without any problems. If they do that and he wins, there must be a reason. “The 𝔱ruth is that he’s doing great, and if they give it to him, it’s because he had a great year,” Maffeo said.

Maffeo tried to play down his heated encounter with Vini, which included a stomp that caused a lot of discussion. “You can see that I stepped on him if you stop the picture.” And I’m lucky that the fourth judge is there and can see how hard I’m moving. I only want to pull the ball. It’s not hard for me, but if you stop the picture, I can see why some people might say it’s red, but I see it as yellow, the Mallorca player said.
