Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe Features in His Maiden Home Game, but Prodigy Endrick’s Exploits Stҽal the Show

When Kylian Mbappe plays his first game at home for Real Madrid, Endrick breaks a record and steals the show.

A star signing doesn’t work out at the Bernabeu, but a Brazilian teenager makes an immediate effect in a 3-0 win over Valladolid in La Liga.

When Kylian Mbappe made his home debut at the Bernabeu, it was meant to be his big day. But Brazilian teenager Endrick stole the show in Real Madrid’s 3-0 La Liga win over Valladolid.

Mbappe scored in the first game of the season when Madrid bat Atalanta in the Uefa Super Cup. But he hasn’t scored in the first two league games, including last week’s 1-1 draw at Mallorca.

Madrid didn’t have much of an impact in the first half because Jude Bellingham was hurt, but they did enough in the second half to get their first win of the season. Carlo Ancelotti’s team is still two points behind rivals Barcelona, who bat Athletic Club 2-1 on Saturday with goals from Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski.

Valladolid’s defense made it hard for the defending champions, and Real didn’t score their first goal until the 50th minute, when defender Fede Valverde scored with a powerful low free ick that was helped by a deflection.

During the summer, Mbappe moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Monaco. He missed a great chance to score when Vinicius Junior crossed the ball to him, but Estonian goalie Karl Hein made a great save.

When France went on the ack again, the captain had another chance, but his shot went wide. In the 86th minute, 18-year-old forward Endrick came on to replace him.

Soon after, Brahim Diaz, another substitute, made it 2-0 by flicking a long ball from Eder Militao over the head of Karl Hein, the goalie for Valladolid. The score got even better when Endrick scored deep into extra time with a well-hit shot inside the near post.

At 18 years and 35 days, Endrick scored the goal, making him the youngest foreign player to do so for Real Madrid in the Spanish league. He at out French defender Raphael Varane, who scored in 2011 at the age of 18 years and 152 days.

Ancelotti, the coach of Madrid, said of Endrick, “He looks great and has a lot of potential.” “With his control and very strong shot, he has shown very quickly how good he is.” He plays center forward and is very dangerous when he’s crowded.

Brazil’s Palmeiras sold Endrick to Real Madrid in 2022 for more than €40 million, plus add-ons. He was only 16 years old at the time. He played for Palmeiras until he turned 18 and joined Real Madrid for this season.

Madrid had already done deals like this with Vinicius and Rodrygo, who are now regular players for the team that won the Champions League last season.

Valverde said of Endrick, “He deserves it.” Endrick was a substitute in the team’s first two games this season, against Atalanta in the Uefa Super Cup and at Mallorca, but didn’t play. It’s important for him to keep working hard because he deserves it. He still has a long way to go with this club.
