The transfer market is increasingly focusing on young players, but there are still some stars over 30 who are still among the most valuable players in the world.

The transfer market is increasingly focused on young players, but there are still a number of stars over 30 who are still among the most valuable players in the world.

Transfermarkt’s valuation does not fully reflect CR7’s performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo, entered the top 50 most valuable players in the world over the age of 30, while his arch-rival, Lionel Messi, 37, ranked outside the top 10.

Ronaldo, currently valued at €15m by Transfermarkt, is still doing well in Saudi Arabia. But it will be difficult for him to get a bigger figure as he approaches his 40th birthday.

Messi is valued at €30 million, as he continues to shine for MLS side Inter Miami. His ability to dictate the tempo of the game and create moments of magic has helped him make an impact despite being over 37.

Other top players over 30 include Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, valued at €100m, and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, €55m. Both have proven that age is just a number.

Manchester City duo Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, costing €70m and €50m respectively, round out the top five.

Messi still shines in Miami at the age of 37.
