Elliott aggravated an existing issue while away with England Under-21s this month.

The 21-year-old returned to Merseyside and underwent further assessments at the AXA Training Centre last week.

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has broken his leg while training with the England U21 team.

The 21-year-old’s injury has left manager Arne Slot extremely worried, with two other midfielders, Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister, also struggling with fitness.

Exclusive sources from The Times said that Elliott could not play in the England U21 team’s matches against Northern Ireland and Austria after bɾҽaking his leg in a previous training session.

Harvey Elliott has returned to Liverpool for further assessment of the injury, after speaking to England’s medical team about his personal condition.

The recovery process will take a long time and Elliott is expected to be away from the pitch for at least 2 months.

The injury comes at a less than ideal time, as Liverpool prepare to enter the Champions League campaign with a trip to AC Milan next week.
