Jadon Sancho sends a clear message to Manchester United after making a significant impact in his debut for Chelsea

That’s the headline shared in the article of the Mirror (UK). Chelsea signed Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United on the last day of the summer transfer window , with an option to buy at the end of the season. And the English winger has not wasted much time showing his parent club what they are missing.

Jadon Sancho has praised Chelsea for the welcome they gave him after a turbulent time at United. Sancho fell out with manager Erik Ten Hag and was dropped from United last season, leading to a loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho was welcomed back to United this summer, coming off the bench in the Community Shield, but was not used in any of United’s opening games of the new season.

Chelsea finally gave Sancho a lifeline on the final day of the transfer window. Notably, Sancho has previously publicly stated that his favourite club is Chelsea. Sancho came off the bench for Chelsea against Bournemouth in his first Premier League appearance in over a year. Sancho made an immediate impact, setting up a last-minute winner for fellow substitute Christopher Nkunku.

“First of all, it’s great to make my Chelsea debut,” Jadon Sancho told Sky Sports (UK) after Chelsea ‘s 1-0 win over Bournemouth in round 4 of the Premier League. “Just being back playing, I’m very grateful. The team played very well and we’re happy with the three points.

I’ve worked hard for this moment and I’m delighted to have had the opportunity. I had a great end to last season, reaching the Champions League final. I’m delighted to be making my debut at Chelsea. I have to thank all the staff and my team-mates. The first day I arrived, they made me feel welcome and I’m delighted to feel so comfortable.”

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was asked about Sancho after the win and he told Sky Sports, “I don’t see any problems around Jadon Sancho, around Joao Felix, to be honest I don’t see any negatives.

Jadon Sancho is a very good player. I know that he is a very good player and can help us. Now, all the fuss around him, I don’t care. With us, he is very polite, trains well with and without the ball. We are very happy to have him.

Jadon Sancho did exactly what we expected of him, Tosin Adarabioyo and Christopher Nkunku as well,” Chelsea manager Maresca said in a separate interview on Match of the Day. “Joao Felix played very well. All the boys on the bench were very good.

“We created a lot of chances and we just needed a bit more quality from inside the box and he (Sancho) did that. Nkunku didn’t start but he’s doing a great job.”
