Real Madrid began their Champions League defence with a 3-1 win over Stuttgart at the Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring, with Antonio Rudiger and Endrick also on target for Los Blancos.

Jude Bellingham has hailed Kylian Mbappe after a successful performance.

“That’s what he’s always done. I wasn’t surprised. I didn’t realise it was his debut. I just thought it was another game where he scored.

Mbappe has always been good. Moving to a club like Real Madrid comes with a lot of pressure, but for Mbappe it’s a breeze and everyone loves him.

Mbappe is going to be a very important player for us, this season and beyond.”

Jude Bellingham also expressed regret that Real Madrid now no longer have the presence of playmaker Toni Kroos.

“It’s a new squad, we’ve changed a few things. Toni Kroos is a big loss in terms of tempo and the way we play. He’s a player who can’t be replaced, so we have to find other ways to fill the void.
