Ryan Gravenberch receives a new song, which was originally used for the Champions League hero and Liverpool fan.

Because of Ryan Gravenberch’s outstanding play this season, Liverpool supporters have written a new song in his honor.

This season, Ryan Gravenberch has become a fan favorite. During Liverpool’s victory over Bournemouth, he was serenaded with a song that was previously saved for one of his Netherlands colleagues.

Under Arne Slot, the youthful midfield player started for the sixth straight game and turned in another strong showing as the Reds won their fourth straight Premier League encounter.

‘Du du du du du du Gi-ni Wij-nal-dum!’ was a common cry from the crowd when Georginio Wijnaldum was serenaded with this song in the past. Given that Ryan Gravenberch has the same number of syllables as Gini Wijnaldum, figuring out how the new version works doesn’t require advanced math!

Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Gravenberch make up the first three players in Liverpool’s midfield lineup. Mac Allister expressed how much he is enjoying playing with the former Ajax player after the team’s victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
