Several Manchester United players made last-minute trips to Monaco for the Formula One Grand Prix after celebrating their FA Cup victory over Manchester City deep into the early hours.
Mason Mount was among those who arrived at the Monte Carlo circuit on Sunday, dressed in an all-white ensemble as he attended the year’s most glamorous race as a guest of Red Bull. However, he was not joined by any of his United teammates in the paddock; instead, he attended the event with his former Chelsea colleague, Ben Chilwell.
The two have remained close friends since Mount’s £60 million transfer from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford last summer, and they appeared to be enjoying the sunny Monaco weather together.
Both Mount and Chilwell are now on their post-season break, having not been selected for Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship.
