Young star Endrick breaks Real Madrid’s 29-year-old record

With his goal against Stuttgart, Endrick Felipe became the youngest player to score for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Real Madrid hosted Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first round of the Champions League group stage. Young player Endrick Felipe was placed on the bench.

It was not until the 80th minute that coach Carlo Ancelotti brought the young Brazilian striker on to replace Jude Bellingham to breathe new life into the, when the score was still 1-1. Immediately after that, the Spanish royal team took the lead 2-1 thanks to Antonio Rudiger.

Endrick Felipe did not miss the opportunity to shine. In the 90+5 minute, receiving the ball from Dani Carvajal in the middle of the field, the young striker immediately rushed towards the Stuttgart goal. He then unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that forced goalkeeper Alexander Nubel to pick the ball out of the net, sealing a 3-1 victory for Real Madrid.

The impressive goal also made Endrick Felipe the youngest player to score for Real Madrid in the Champions League, at just 18 years and 58 days. The previous record belonged to Raul Gonzalez, who scored against Ferencvaros in October 1995, aged 18 years and 113 days.

Before that, Endrick Felipe also had an impressive performance when coming off the bench to score in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Valladolid in La Liga. Thanks to that, he set a record as the youngest foreign player to score for Real Madrid in the Spanish top flight, at just 18 years and 35 days.
