A boy got a small model of the 2008 Santiago Bernabeu stadium as a birthday present from his family when he was only 10 years old. He was sure that one day, as a Real Madrid player, he would be able to take his family to the VIP area of the Bernabeu. Fifteen years later, that boy kept his promise and brought the beautiful model to his first press conference after signing with Real Madrid.

From an interview that was done the day Kylian Mbappé made his Real Madrid debut:

When I was eight years old, my family gave me a small replica of the Santiago Bernabeu venue. I promise I’ll go back to Real Madrid. I kept my promise, so I’m here now.

“I’m thrilled and proud to play for Real Madrid.” Today is a big day in my life and work. Even though I thought today would be great, it has been even better than I thought.
