The midfielder can play in the Derby, but he might not have much of a part.

Eduardo Camavinga, a defender for Real Madrid, returned to training with the team today and will be able to play this Sunday when Los Blancos play Atletico de Madrid at the Estadio Metropolitano.

Camavinga hurt his knee right before the UEFA Supercup Final more than a month ago. The French playmaker was supposed to start against Atalanta but had to take some time off.

Camavinga hasn’t played in a while, so he probably won’t have much of an effect in the Madrid Derby against Atletico de Madrid. He needs to play a few more games before he can make a difference as a starter in a big, intense game like the Derby against Simeone and his team.

Still, his return to the team is good news for coach Carlo Ancelotti, who can start him whenever he needs an extra defender.
