Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson concur as the Liverpool star explains the Arne Slot switch.
Andy Robertson has explained how working with Arne Slot has been fun so far for him and his Liverpool colleagues. Right now, the Reds are leading the Premier League standings.
In the first season of Arne Slot’s tenure at Anfield, Andy Robertson has provided insight into how the Liverpool team has gotten along with the Dutchman, stating that the players are enjoying the process of adjusting to a new style.
According to Robertson, “it changes every single game in terms of the positioning in terms of what Arne wants from you,” as he told reporters, including those from Liverpool.com. “I’m accepting it. It’s fun for me. After playing in much the same way for seven years, we sensed something was going to happen.
“We all loved it and it worked incredibly well, but we anticipated a new manager would take over and make changes. I’ve relished the alteration. I’ve accepted it. I believe I’ve grown into it and performed well at it.
“There are differences in placement both attacking and defending throughout the field. As you can see, the older boys are having a blast. As you can see, we are aware of his desires. We’re following the manager’s instructions, and thus far the outcomes are ok.
Liverpool leads the Premier League table right now, but six games into the new era, Robertson, Slot, Virgil van Dijk, and other players have all downplayed the significance of that. “December is a critical month every year,” Van Dijk stated to reporters. “Teams that handle that well, winning games and staying injury-free, stand a good chance of succeeding. See you later.”
“Who can say? It’s always possible, Robertson says. Teams, in my opinion, don’t glance at the table. You have way too many games in front of you. I believe that several teams are currently looking excellent. By Christmas time, you’re aware of who’s in it and where you stand. All we need to do is approach each game and result individually. When things get down to business, we’ll find out who’s involved.
“We don’t overlook any details. The team has done a great job of getting us ready for each game and keeping us as fresh as possible. We are about to enter a busy time. Every three days are game days, and who knows when the games will end? When things truly pick up in the upcoming months, let’s see how we’re doing.”
