After Manchester United’s crushing loss to Tottenham Hotspur, defender Lisandro Martinez was seen apologizing to the fans.

The goal scorers against Manchester United in their 3-0 defeat to Ange Postecoglou’s team were Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke.

Three minutes into the match, Johnson scored the opening goal. After breaking away from his own half, Micky van de Ven advanced into the United box and passed the ball to Johnson, who was positioned at the back post and finished accurately from close range.

United currently occupies 12th place after six matches, having garnered just seven points and a goal differential of -3.

As the game neared its end, a large number of United fans were seen leaving Old Trafford, clearly unhappy with the outcome.

Martinez expressed his apologies to those who remained in the stands.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the Argentina international can be seen responding to supporters by raising his hands and making a praying gesture with his hands clasped together.

Martinez took over the captain’s armband after Bruno Fernandes, the Portuguese playmaker, was sent off in the first half.
